A Private, Individual Consultation
Medical and restorative tattooing is highly personal. Victoria begins with a private conversation about the area, previous procedures, healing, skin, scarring, health history, expectations, and whether tattooing is appropriate.
Pigment and Visual Detail
Color selection and visual design consider the surrounding skin, undertone, existing scar tissue, anatomy, and the client’s goals. Healed pigment may soften or change, and more than one session may be needed.
Scar Tissue and Healing
Scar tissue can accept and retain pigment differently than unaffected skin. Tissue maturity, texture, circulation, previous treatment, health factors, and healing history influence candidacy and results.
Timing Matters
Tattooing should not be performed on tissue that has not adequately healed. Medical clearance or coordination with a treating clinician may be appropriate depending on the history and procedure.
Risks and Limitations
Possible risks include infection, allergic reaction, pigment migration, scarring, color change, uneven retention, or an unsatisfactory result. Medical tattooing creates a visual effect; it does not restore physical anatomy or guarantee perfect symmetry.
